Broken Arrow Band Hall of Fame
Nomination Criteria

Purpose
Conceived in 2023, the Pride of Broken Arrow’s Band Hall of Fame recognizes and honors extraordinary persons whose vision, commitment and special energies have contributed excellence to music and a sustained effort to the successes throughout their lives. The members of the Hall of Fame represent the finest efforts in advancing the core values of the Pride of Broken Arrow Bands. 

Categories of Membership

Alumni Band Member

  • Eligible for election ten (10) years after Broken Arrow high school graduation

  • Notable achievement as a member of the Broken Arrow band: Such as All-State selection, contributor to a championship team, band award(s) or other significant accomplishments

  • Contributions and achievements in a collegiate band / military band setting (if applicable) • Significant achievements in their professional life post high school

    Band Director - Staff Member - Administrator

  • Eligible for election upon departure / retirement from Broken Arrow Public Schools

  • Made significant contribution to the Broken Arrow band program

    Friends of the Broken Arrow Bands

  • Eligible for election five (5) years after commencing significant involvement with Broken Arrow Band Program

  • Made significant efforts toward the advancement of the Broken Arrow Bands

Nomination

  • Nomination can be submitted by anyone. The nomination form can be found HERE.

  • Nominations must be received by APRIL 15 to be considered for the upcoming year. Nominations may be submitted online or mailed directly to the Director of Bands at:

  • A letter of support from the nominator addressing the candidates success as a band alumnus, band director, staff member, administrator or friend of the Broken Arrow Bands. Additionally, provide information in the letter of support that speaks to the character and integrity of the nominee and suggestions as to why he/she should be in the Broken Arrow Band Hall of Fame.

Nominations will only be considered if the nomination is complete with the following information included for each category:

For Alumni Band Member:

  • Notable achievements as a member of the Broken Arrow band: Such as All-State selection, contributor to a championship team, band award(s) or other significant accomplishments

  • Contributions and achievements in a collegiate band / military band setting (if applicable) • Significant achievements in their professional life post high school

  • A letter of support from the nominator addressing the candidates success as a band alumnus, band director, staff member, administrator or friend of the Broken Arrow Bands. Additionally, provide information in the letter of support that speaks to the character and integrity of the nominee and suggestions as to why he/she should be in the Broken Arrow Band Hall of Fame

For Former Band Director / Staff Member / Administrator:

  • A list of the nominee’s achievements at Broken Arrow while associated with the Broken Arrow Bands

  • Any honors or awards received while at Broken Arrow

  • Professional involvement such as memberships, offices, committees in music associations while at Broken Arrow

  • A letter of support from the nominator addressing the candidates success as a band alumnus, band director, staff member, administrator or friend of the Broken Arrow Bands. Additionally, provide information in the letter of support that speaks to the character and integrity of the nominee and suggestions as to why he/she should be in the Broken Arrow Band Hall of Fame

For Friends of the Broken Arrow Bands:

  • Full documentation describing contributions or accomplishments supporting the Broken Arrow Bands

  • A letter of support from the nominator addressing the candidates success as a band alumnus, band director, staff member, administrator or friend of the Broken Arrow Bands. Additionally, provide information in the letter of support that speaks to the character and integrity of the nominee and suggestions as to why he/she should be in the Broken Arrow Band Hall of Fame

Nominations must be received by April 15, 2025, to be considered for the upcoming year. The physical form can be downloaded HERE. Nominations may be submitted online or mailed directly to the Director of Bands at:
